Your project
Enter one rectangular area in feet. For an irregular bed, calculate smaller rectangles separately and add their cubic-yard totals.
Choose a useful depth
Use for a light refresh where an established mulch layer is already doing its job.
A common total depth for moisture retention, soil-temperature moderation and weed suppression.
Leave the root flare visible. Do not pile mulch against tree trunks, stems or plant crowns.
Break a curved or irregular bed into rectangles, calculate each one, then add the cubic yards together.
